Dan Hirschhorn is a reporter, writer and journalist who was born and raised in Philadelphia.

After graduating from Brandeis University in May 2007, Dan chose to practice journalism back in Philadelphia, where spent a year working at The Bulletin, a Monday-Friday broadsheet. He later worked for PolitickerPA, a political news Web site, covering local, state, Congressional and presidential politics in the region.

After PolitickerPA was shuttered by its parent company, Dan founded pa2010.com, a news site that quickly became the go-to authority for Pennsylvania political insiders. The site attracts more than 25,000 unique monthly visitors who make up the state's most influential audience, and pa2010.com has become the window into Pennsylvania politics for mainstream media at the local and national levels.

With a strong belief that journalists should be passionate about the communities they cover, Dan brings that attitude to every assignment, be it in Philadelphia or elsewhere.
